Mixed clonal Pinot Noir from a cool south facing vineyard in Mt Torrens. The fruit was picked in the fresh of morning in March. The cool fruit was destemmed to several small open top fermentors. The fruit was left to ferment wild with daily plunging. The ferment temperature was allowed to peak at 32 degrees centigrade. After 20 days on skins and minimal handling the fruit was pressed to a mix of new demi muids (600L) and seasoned puncheons for 9 months maturation and a spontaneous MLF before bottling in early December. 

The unfined and unfiltered wine has a brick red hue. It has aromas of wild berry, spices and black cherry. The flavours are fresh and delicate showing bright cherry, a fresh acidity and lithe tannins.
