2024 Guthrie Pinot Noir

Style: A warmer growing season has lead to a fuller wine with bright cherry, cloves and lifted florals. The palate exhibits texture with a lithe tannins 

Vineyard: The Abel clone Pinot Noir fruit was sourced from the Porter Family Vineyard in Mt Torrens, grown on acidic sandy loam over red clay. 

Vinification: The fruit was picked at dawn to retain freshness. The fruit was gently destemmed into small open top fermentors. The wholeberry wild fermentation is done slowly and carefully, keeping the delicacy and elegance of the fruit, but taking the time to extract all the flavor and tannin we want. The wine was pressed to French oak hogsheads (20% new) were it rests for 12 months

pH 3.60 TA 5.99 Alc 12.8%

Serve: At a family dinner paired with roast chicken or lamb or with friends eating your favorite late night Chinese dishes. Ideal temperature is 11-13˚C
