Style: Dark cherries, roses, alpine spices and earthy aromas jump out of the glass. The palate has a long juicy acidity and the finest mouth coating tannins 

Vineyard: Nebbiolo (Clone 220) fruit was sourced from the Amadio Vineyard in Kersbrook, grown on thirsty, thick stony loam needed to fully ripen this fickle grape variety

Vinification: The fruit was picked at dawn to retain freshness. The fruit was gently destemmed into closed fermentors. The wholeberry wild fermentation was done slowly and carefully and at completion the tank was sealed for 60 days to build texture and soften the tannins. The wine was pressed to a Slovenian oak cask were it rests for 18 months

pH 3.56 TA 6.80 Alc 13.3%

Serve: With grilled meats, wood oven pizza or a rich pasta ragu. Ideal temperature is 11-13˚C
